  • For tracking purposes, registration holds will be placed in late February of each year for all students who require an approved plan by September 30 of that year. The hold will become effective and block registration on October 1 for students who do not have an approved plan on file.
  • The Degree Planner will always be open for submission. However, submissions for subsequent approvals must be made after March 1 to expire the degree planner hold for continuing students.
  • Graduating seniors may choose to use the Degree Planner as a graduation tool. Plans that meet all degree requirements for graduation purposes are automatically approved upon submission. Graduating seniors with missing degree requirements should contact their academic advisor.
  • Degree planner registration holds are expired for students awarded a degree in the previous term the second week of classes of the succeeding semester or summer term following commencement.
  • For more information please see Texas A&M University Student Rule 1.9.
  • Colleges and departments are responsible for guiding students through the degree planner process and should be the first point of contact. If departments have any questions regarding the Degree Planner please contact Degree Audit in the Office of the Registrar at 979-845-1089 or degree-audit@tamu.edu
