CARS Forms
The Curricular Approval Request System (CARS) facilitates the curricular approval process. CARS is made up of various forms. This system is used to request approval of new offerings and update or modify previously approved offerings. All newly created proposals and any changes to current programs/courses must be recorded using the appropriate form. The Course Inventory Management form is used to propose new courses and edit existing courses. The Program Management form is used to propose new and edit existing degree programs, minors, and certificates. Requests to add or recertify a course to the university core curriculum, international and cultural diversity (ICD), cultural discourse (CD), writing intensive (W), or communication intensive (C) inventory are submitted through the Core, ICD, and W& C Form. The Miscellaneous Form can be used to request new codes (subject, major, minor, degree, certificate, or concentration) for the course and program forms, report an academic administrative structure change, submit bulk course prefix change requests, or shred a proposal.
