In order to allow you to verify that the appropriate students in your courses have been given grades of ‘I’ (Incomplete), the grading system will now alert you of the students you have graded with an ‘I’ before allowing you to submit grades.
**Please note** - Currently, only the Instructor of Record on SSASECT can post grades of ‘I’ (Incomplete) on Howdy. Associates with the role of “Grader” on SWASECT will not be able to post grades of ‘I’ for the Instructor of Record. We are working to correct this issue as soon as possible in order to allow “Graders” to post grades of ‘I’ on Howdy.
The following is an example of what you will see when posting ‘I’ grades.
- As has always been the case, you will enter your grades on the grading roster for your course, as the example below demonstrates. In this case, you can see that Reveille Miss and Man Twelfth have been given grades of ‘I’ in MATH 141-201.
- When you click the “Submit” button to post the grades you have entered, if any of the grades are ‘I’, you will return to a page that looks like the example below. The purpose of this page is to alert you that the students listed will receive grades of ‘I’ which will roll to ‘F’ if not changed by the extension date. In this case, Reveille Miss and Man Twelfth will receive a grade of ‘I’ (see the “Grade” column) which will roll to an ‘F’ (see the “Incomplete Final Grade” column) on 12/06/2011 (see the “Extension Date” column).
- When you click the "Submit" button, you will return to the Grade Roster, which will look like the example below. You will receive a "Grades successfully processed" message and see the grades you posted for each student.
As always, if you have any questions about grading, you can contact the Records Administration & Archives section of the Office of the Registrar at (979) 845-1003.
