Welcome to Part 3 of the "Know Before You Go" email series for Fall 2024 Commencement. In this installment, we'll provide essential information about what you can expect at Reed Arena during the ceremony. As a reminder, you can find the full ceremony schedule on the Aggie One Stop website. Please email graduation@tamu.edu if you have any questions about which ceremony you should attend.

Check-In Location:
Upon arriving at Reed Arena, Degree Candidates should enter at the North Entry. Degree Candidates will report to check-in stations, arranged by last name, where you will receive instructions on where to line up.

Check-In Time:
Check-in will begin one hour prior to the start of each ceremony. If you have not checked in at least 30 minutes prior to the start of your ceremony, you will be marked absent, and your name will be removed from the roll call of graduates.

Line Up Rooms:
After checking in, you will proceed to your designated line-up room. Be sure to fill out the contact information on the back of your check-in card to ensure you receive your proofs of your graduation photos taken during the ceremony. Announcements will be provided in each room letting you know when the processional will begin.

Regalia:
All degree candidates must wear appropriate commencement attire and Texas A&M regalia during the ceremony. Undergraduate students who earned Latin Honors will receive their honors stole at check-in.

Clear Bag Policy and Storage of Personal Items:

Degree candidates are required to adhere to Reed Arena's clear bag policy. You should not bring any unnecessary items, as there is not storage available while crossing the stage, and graduates may not return to their original seat. For essentials such as phones and wallets, you may bring a small fanny pack or clear bag to wear under your regalia for safekeeping while crossing the stage.

Ceremony Etiquette:
As a courtesy to your fellow graduates and to expedite the ceremony, please refrain from taking personal photos while on stage. Professional photographers will capture your on-stage moment, and an additional posed photo will be taken after you exit the stage.

If you have any questions about Reed Arena and what to expect during your ceremony, please contact us at graduation@tamu.edu.
