The Curricular Approval Request System (CARS) utilized for University academic program and course inventory has been updated! CARS is now available and accessible through the links posted on our website at https://registrar.tamu.edu/curricular-services/cars-forms or through Howdy under the Employee tab.
Users will notice revised forms when submitting changes to existing inventory items or proposing new. The CARS system update contains the following changes:
- Course and Program Inventory Forms – updated form style, fields, and questions
- Core Inventory Form – divided into 4 separate forms ([1] Core Curriculum, [2] ICD & CD, [3] Writing, and [4] Communication); updated form style, fields, and questions
- Miscellaneous Request Form – updated form style
- Approver’s Console – style and operation of Approver’s Console remains the same
Updated training videos and materials will be posted in the near future. In the meantime, we are able to provide training as our schedules permit. If you have questions or would like to request training, please contact Curricular Services at cars@tamu.edu.
